Our Kitchen, Tea Rooms and Table D’hôte

Enjoy a set-lunch in our onsite restaurant opening from 2024 featuring English and French classic dishes or sample the delicious delicacies on offer from our English afternoon high tea: featuring homemade scones, clotted cream, rich cakes, strawberry jam and of course a proper cup of fine English tea (we offer Ceylon, Assam, and a range of blends from the renowned Fortnum and Masons who supply the English Royal Household). Here overnight? enjoy a continental breakfast with homemade sourdough bread and croissant to set you up for a day of alpine adventure

Our Chef

Frederic Ollier-Thompson

Frederic has a background in the high-end, world-class, London restaurant scene, and as a trained chef and experienced restaurant manager. He brings extensive knowledge and expertise to the menu, wine list, and exceptional customer service.

Sample Evening Menu: (opening 2023) 

Tomates Provençale (a Mediterranean type of shakshuka with plenty of garlic and Parsley)

Sanguin a l’huile (a local delicacy of Red Milk Cap mushrooms pickled in vinegar)

Crouie pasta and walnut sauce (local pasta from Chateauneuf with the Saint- Martin signature sauce)

Pissaladière (an onion pizza with olive and anchovies)

Daube de Boeuf (a local variation of Boeuf Bourguignon)

Squash flower fritter (the staple diet of summer in these mountains, delicatel zucchini flowers fried in a light batter and slightly salted)

Ravioli and beef daube sauce (pumpkin ravioli with a meat jus)

And for dessert try these amazing French specialities – they’ll really hit that sweet spot!

Apple Panade (a Mediterranean deep apple and almond frangipane tart)

Tarte des Alpes (a rich jammy black or red fruit tart)
